Pitso Mosimane praises his Al Ahly
Just after a string of losses Al Ahly managed to score a 16 minute leading goal, this gave them an early edge as they went to Al Masry short of 3 points to make a #2 on the Egyptian Premiership log. After the first goal the Al Masry started to search for the equaliser in the closing stages of the half, but the Cairo Red Devils were defensive enough to not even let the air pass through.
Just before halftime, Al Ahly made a mistake which let to Omar Kamal giving his home side the elusive equaliser. Prior to the second half Pitso Mosimane made a double substitution, which reinforced the team's attacking ability thus not instantly, the pressure play the Cairo Red Devils were putting gave them the lead at the 63rd minute after Sherif did a brilliant tap-in to complete his brace.
Masry was gunning for a draw in the match but their skill was matched by the Al Ahly's backline so they couldn't penetrate through their goalie guard. The visitors held their consistency and they were securing their win which led to them winning the game at full time thus registering a consecutive full time win and going 3 points below their rivals, Zamalek.
